Bracket - Mania

Well every year, even though we aren't big college basketball fans, Ryan and I fill out the brackets. We do it in all fun but also to see who WINS!!! So far it's a close race because many of the teams we both picked for the final four are gone.... So it comes down to the next set of games. We will eagerly await the results, I won last year and unless something big happens, it looks like I will be victorious again this year!

Sorry It's been a while

Sorry, the posts have been nil for a few weeks. Jackson and I have been home in Oregon for a few weeks. We spent time with my mom and dad or Mimi and Poppa. Jackson has became very attached and it was hard for Jack to leave especially when Poppa didn't come through security with us. We did alot of playing outside- which Jack loves, it was often hard to get him to come inside. He also enjoyed reading with Poppa and playing with the doggies!!
Jack and I even ventured out on the bus- we stood at the bus stop near my parents new house and rode it to downtown twice to do some shopping and visiting. It was neat and Jack really enjoyed riding on the bus!!! My dad uses the bus to get to work everyday. I went shopping and filled a second suitcase to come home, between clothes in up to a 4T for Jack as well as shoes and clothed for me too!!! It was alot of fun and we have already "scheduled" our next visit in May before Jack and I venture to New York to visit Oma ans Opa and to MD for a wedding.

We've been to the Ice Show!

We went to the Ice show last night. It was cold, about 17 degrees but it was fun.

Jack went down a few slides and liked to actually look at the sculptures this time. He espcially liked the dino and the turtle!

We also got a family picture- never happen- always just one of us with Jackson!!

It keeps snowing............

It has snowed more in the last week and half than all winter- It looks like at least. We get the driveway shoveled and then it starts all over again. Today it was bad enough- it took us and hour to clear it all, that's with Jack's help. The pics show above how tall the pile is in our front yard and how tall it was when Jack was trying to play in it!

Getting ready for a busy weekend

We are getting ready for a busy weekend. Today, Jackson and I ran many errands to get ready and to get things out of the house. Donations to charity, some baby clothes to a new mommy, selling some of my old working clothes at the thrift shop. Tomorrow I get to have my massage and manicure and then do more shopping in Fairbanks with no child or husband!! Hopefully a productive day. Then our neighbor gave us free tickets to the Ice Dogs Hockey Game, she is singing the national anthem and it's military appreciation weekend! Saturday I have a baby shower and Sunday the Ice Sculpture Festival is in town. We are going to it before Jack and I leave for my parents house. We are also taking the new Airman with us to the hockey game and the ice festival, so that he can experience some Alaska"ness"!

Night out for Mommy!!

This past weekend was Spouses Dining In. An event that the base has for spouses to have fun!!! This years theme was Disney. We picked Finding Nemo and had a ball planning it for and experiencing the night. Here are some pics- we had to decorate a table,

a poster,

do a dessert,

costumes
and a skit.

Our Skit was awesome and the night before the event we found out that someone else was doing the same thing. We all learned part of the Thriller dance and danced to it in our fish costumes! I was Pearl- the octopus. I had tons of fun. (photo below was taken by Breanne Kessler photography)After wards we were able to go into the bar and hang out with friends, as well as dance the night away! I think Jenna brought me home around 130am or so!! What a night!
