From about 2pm Friday to almost 3pm Saturday Ryan and I were able to spend time together without Jack. It was nice to do errands and eat without a little one in tow. We also were able to spend the night in a hotel in Fairbanks and then we went to the Hot Springs in Chena for the day on Saturday. We went swimming in the Hot Springs pool, and went into a jacuzzi tub for a while to relax.
We were also able to tour the one and only Ice Hotel Museum. The building is made completley out of ice and stay at a 20 degree temp year round by circulating cold air near the walls. There are sculptures, 4 hotle rooms- that you could actully stay the night in, a wedding chapel and an ice bar! For another small fee you can have an Appletini in a ice martini glass that you can keep- if it will make it home. Here are some pics.
